In research work will be discussedthe importance of research on the Russian labor market and its impact on the global economyand considered the scale of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy and labour market in Russia. The unemployment rate in Russia in June was 6.2% - a record since March 2012. In the second quarter of 2020, which was the height of the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine, the real disposable income of Russians fell by 8% - this is also a record for the last 20 years. The purpose of the research work is to study the causes and trends of unemployment associated with the pandemic in order to prevent problems in the country's economic situation in the future, since the crisis associated with the coronavirus will end at no time. To achieve the goal of the research work, the following questions were posed: 1. What are the main characteristics of the Russian labor market? 2. How has unemployment changed during the pandemic? 3. What actions has the government done? 4. How will the pandemic change the long-run structure of the Russian labor market? To answer these questions, I use the following methods: - statistical data analysis; - document analysis. The structure of the work is determined by the subject, purpose and objectives of the study for the disclosure of this topic. The work consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The introduction reveals the relevance, determines the degree of scientific development of the topic, purpose, objectives, reveals the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter examines the importance of the Russian labor market in the global economy. The second chapter reveals the features of the problem of unemployment in Russia in 2020. The third chapter is devoted to the issues of state regulation of this situation and how citizens received assistance from the state. And forth chapter considersfuture impact of a pandemic on the labor market in Russiaandwhichprofessions will be in demand after a pandemic. As a result of the research work, it was concluded that Russia has every chance of economic recovery, despite the deplorable state in the spring of 2020. An increase in unemployment benefits, a relaxation of quarantine restrictions and a gradual transition of office workers to online mode was able to improve performance during the second wave of coronavirus. As of April 31, 2020, the growth of infected people remains at a high level, but enterprises continue to work with the preservation of the uterine regime and compliance with safety rules. The labor market is already showing indirect signs of economic recovery. For example, there has been an increase in the number of lease transactions for office space, as well as a gradual decrease in the number of applications for unemployment benefits. The research work used the methods of the systems approach, inductive methods, as well as methods of comparison and measurement.
