Since the reform and opening up, Chinese foreign trade has been growing continuously and its economy has also been growing rapidly. After Chinese entry into the WTO, Chinese foreign trade has occupied a broad international market in the context of economic globalization. The successful accession to the WTO marks that Chinese economy has fully entered the era of globalization, and Chinese economic development has entered a new era.With the deepening of economic restructuring, Chinese economic development has entered a new stage. The main characteristics of the new normal are as follows: the growth rate has changed from high to medium, and the growth momentum has shifted from low-cost production factors and investment-driven to innovation and technology-driven. The economy and industrial structure have been continuously improved and upgraded. Foreign trade system has gradually become an important factor affecting foreign trade. System has become an important content that cannot be ignored in the process of economic transformation.By collecting and analyzing data, we can understand the current economic situation under the new normal, and identify the characteristics, causes and influences of Chinese foreign trade. According to the industrial upgrading and technological innovation demands of Chinese economy under the new normal, this paper further analyzes the overall situation of foreign trade transformation and upgrading under the new normal, and then determines Chinese new foreign trade strategy and puts forward corresponding countermeasures.
