Justification of the choice of topicWhen choosing the topic of my thesis, it was an important aspect for me to find a topic that is close to me and I will be happy to do my research around, deepening my knowledge and talking to experts. The timeliness of discussing the impact and relevance of active tourism, and sport tourism is indicated by the numerous researches on the topic. People not only like to relax and unwind when actively partaking in sport and other activities but passive sport tourism also generates a great inflow of tourist regarding the international sport events and contributes greatly to the hosting country’s economy.  The international literature analyzes in detail the effect and impact of Olympics and other mega sport events on the hosting country’s economy and these papers have estimated the cost and positive, negative effects of the Olympic games on the hosting country’s economy.  My own connection to the subject is leading simply towards my obsession with the Olympics during my whole life. The self-discipline and commitment which these athletes have is admirable. This enormous and fantastic event which allows us to have a closer look to the country itself, to the culture and desire toward sport impresses me and I thought it would be a perfect topic for my thesis.
