Foreign direct investment (FDI) is an important part of economic development and economic growth of developing countries. In recent years, Mongolia has attracted foreign investors from other countries with its abundant natural resources. Mining industry is a key factor in Mongolia's development. Mongolia's economy is relatively small, especially when compared to the economies of other “tiger” countries. Mongolia has a large land area, is the 19th largest country in the world, and has a lot of natural resources. Mongolia is located in the middle of the world's two largest economies, Russia and China. 90% of Mongolian minerals are exported to China. Geographical advantages affect Mongolia's economic growth rate.Mongolia has a variety of minerals such as coal, copper, zinc, gold, and fluorite, which are one of the main minerals produced. This mineral resource has large reserves and has the potential to increase production. For investors and investment companies, mining and mining-related services are among the most important and reliable long-term investments in Mongolia. Mongolia's natural resources will bring prospects for long-term economic development to the Mongolian people. If properly managed, the expansion of international direct investment will bring many beneficial effects to Mongolian society, and it is expected to have a positive economic outlook in the 21st century. In recent years, the adverse effects of air pollution and environmental pollution damage to the health of the people in Mongolia have rapidly increased. At the same time,This paper introduces and analyzes the impact of foreign direct investment in Mongolia’s mining industry, and puts forward some of the problems faced by SWOT and PEST research, its constraints, growth factors, and mining’s contribution to Mongolia’s economic development and people’s living standards Concluded. In addition, the development trend of foreign direct investment in Mongolia's mining sector and government policies were also discussed.Although agriculture is still an important part of Mongolia's economy, the prosperity of the mining industry has been the main driving force of recent economic growth. In the past few decades, the mining industry has led Mongolia's economic development. Attracted a large amount of foreign direct investment and increased exports. The huge mineral resources can ensure that Mongolia will continue to maintain a high growth trajectory. At present, Mongolia's economic growth depends on the export of mining, especially copper and coal resources.
