At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 infected individuals worldwide and put international trade to a halt. Many feel that governments and international companies are not as prepared as they ought to have been. While scholars sometimes forecast the pandemics economic concerns, there was little study until 2020 to deal with supply chain management concerns in pandemics. This study discusses the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the supply chain of the Asian countries. The focus was to identify the factors that led to this shift of the global supply chain in and towards the Asian countries. Further, it has been found that quality, affordable pricing were the chief aspects for these sharp shifts. Along with this, the shift of supply chain activities from the EU to Asia has been led to some strong points that facilitated the study. A range of factors related to supply chain and business productivity has been described. It has been also identified that the Transaction Cost Analysis, Channel Coordination theory, Materials Logistics Management model and the Theory of Constraints have been implied by the business sector to make their decisions regarding the conduction of this shift. Further, primary data collection methods were applied to reach out to the participants directly associated with this field. A discussion on the themes of the secondary qualitative analysis has been produced. It has been identified that the majority of the respondents are positive with the shift of this global supply chain. It has provided an opportunity for the top drawn corporations to reduce the operational cost without compromising their range of service. The efficacy has resulted in gaining profits and improving the network of supply after the shift that has taken place. Further, the potential issues that are identified during this shift have been identified. Training of the workers along with risk-mitigating strategies is the key to control these issues and continue fostering the global supply chain system in the post-pandemic world that can drive businesses of both EU and Asia. The limitation of this chapter and its future scope has been discussed at the final stage.
