Abstract

The key objective of this work is to evaluate the scale of China’s involvement in the Africa continent and evaluate possible implications arising from this engagement, on the other hand, we also have to assess how these investment initiations could benefit both parties while unveiling China’s strategy in Africa, and try to find out the main motive behind the aids and loans offered by China. First of all, we need to focus on the big picture, China’s big strategic investment plans all over the world, namely, reviving the Old Silk Road under the name of the Belt & Road project. Secondly, we will need to look at the historical background of Africa-China relations to find out if this  relationship formed consequently with the rising of China as a leading figure. The trade among China and African countries is described in order to assess its improvement over the years and to find out whether their partnership is a zero-sum game or not.
