Absztrakt (kivonat)
The organizational and social structure of companies, just as societies and organisms are different from each other. In the focus of this thesis is Dukascopy Group an international brokerage and financial group employing over 200 people in its offices around the world. The emphasis is on the company's sales and customer support teams, which interact most with the company's customers on a daily basis. These two teams were chosen mainly because the sales generated is one of the key factors the basic metabolism of any company. The thesis contains an analysis on the literature on corporate culture as well as an overview of the role of Human Resource management along with the tools available for HR to evaluate the employees in order to gain insight to their skills and personalities with the intention of better understanding how the employees and the company can benefit from such evaluations. Furthermore a poll of the employees of the above mentioned groups has been conducted in order to see their sentiment of their perception of the role of Human Resources and their own professional development. The poll was also designed to look at how the employees of these teams perceive their culture around them from the perspective of the reciprocity of their professional interactions through the lens of Adam Grant’s model of Givers, Takers and Matchers and whether assisting their fellow colleagues with their work affects their own performance.
