Weddings are special events that mark an important moment in people’s lives, which gathers family members to celebrate this special occasion of the «to be married» couple. As a celebration it should be memorable and bring joy and happiness for the bride and the groom and also for the guests. The brides suppose that, «a wedding is the celebration of a lifetime, and whether that celebration is a grand fete for hundreds or an intimate gathering of family and friends, it is a day when dreams come true». This research explores future wedding trends in Hungary; the demand for themed weddings in Budapest, Hungary; identifies factors influence the couples to choose themed wedding; offers a brand new venue specialized on themed weddings and creates marketing strategies to increase popularity of themed weddings among couples from Budapest. The research questions were answered with the help of two online questionnaires, distributed among professional wedding planners in Hungary and locals, who were already married or just plan to make their relationships official. Qualitative and quantitative methodology has been used the same time with the context analysis as a primary data collection. The results showed that in 2018 Hungarians and expats living in Hungary have a small interest for themed weddings, but there is an opportunity for themed weddings to be a potential player in the wedding industry in a nearest future. Based on this conclusion, the researcher created a set of marketing strategies to increase the demand for themed weddings. Due to the lack of sources, this thesis could be a great help for the future researchers, who are interested in studying themed weddings and related topics. Subsequently, he researcher recommends to increase the amount of respondents, who are able to give a professional overview about weddings and to collect primary data through in-depth interviews.
