Abstract

In 2013, Chinese president Xi Jinping came up with One Belt One Road, the aim of it is to establish two initiatives: The Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-century Maritime Silk Road with Asia, African and Europe. One Belt One Road is an important strategy for China to improve its economy and international influence; also it indicates the possible changes in relationships between China and countries within One Belt One Road. Foreign direct investment and trade as two main methods for China participating in global economic integration, can help to transfer the over capacity and develop economy by making full use of China’s advantage under the opportunity of One Belt One Road. This thesis only analyzes the route of The Silk Road Economic Belt, and divides this route geographically into three regions: Central Asia, Western Asia and Central-eastern Europe, analyzes the new economic relationships between China and these regions from two aspects: investment and trade.
